A Heartfelt Thank You to BTGE and Dr Sawyerr I would like to sincerely thank Bridge The Gab Engineer (BTGE), especially Dr Sawyerr, for his incredible guidance and support throughout my ECSA professional registration journey. My application was a long and frustrating process that took almost two years, including about 12 months under abeyance. I became frustrated with the delays and challenges and almost gave up. Everything changed when I contacted BTGE and Dr Sawyerr. He explained why my report had been referred, guided me through each ECSA outcome, helped me rectify my report, and continued reviewing my work until everything was ready for submission. I submitted my application on 21 May 2026, received my Professional Review Interview invitation on 2 July 2026, and on 24 July 2026, my application was successfully approved. The mentorship i received form bridge the gap engineer played a huge role in getting my professional registration status. I can confidently say, I wouldn't have done it without my mentor's guidance and support throughout the journey, from structuring the report and correctly detailing my experience as per ECSA's requirements, to the day of my professional review. When I thought having more than 10 years of experience, it will be easy for me to complete and submit the application for registration as a Professional Eng. Technician!! But unfortunately my application was kept on abeyance for a period of 12months with a recommendation to get a mentor and do resubmission. That is where I saw a Facebook post from Dr. Nathaniel Sawyerr about btge (BRIDGE THE GAP ENGINEER), then I was accepted to undergo mentorship program with a full package offer. BTGE reviewed and amended my completed documents, did mock interviews, and guided me (with presentation preparation) all the way to professional registration. After all the work done and last mock interview, Dr. Sawyer told me to go and get my Pr. status because the rest was up to me "presenting" Thank you Dr. Nathaniel Sawyerr (btge) and pls keep up the good work!! Before mentorship, I wasn't sure if my experience was sufficient to register as a professional until it was reviewed by my Mentor, who walked the journey with me and ensured that I was able to demonstrate competencies at all level required ensuring quality and consistency on my report. The most important part of my mentorship journey was periodic review and feedback on progress achieved, this ensured that we stuck on timelines drawn up to submit report to the council. After submission, presentation and interview preparations were the best which made the process seamless as one was prepared in depth. The outcome was a favourable outcome at first attempt with good feedback received. In early 2024, I submitted my application during the February cycle and was invited to an Experience Appraisal Interview. Unfortunately, it didn’t go as well as I had hoped. Although I believed I was prepared, I soon realised I didn’t fully understand what was expected of me. When I resubmitted in August of the same year, I knew I needed guidance from people who were experienced with the process if I wanted to succeed. The most valuable part of the mentorship programme for me was the trial presentations. The detailed feedback I received was incredibly helpful and gave me the confidence to approach the actual interview with poise, something that is absolutely crucial. Just two weeks after my interview, I received confirmation that I was registered. I highly recommend this mentorship to anyone going through the process. The mentors are exceptionally knowledgeable and clearly understand what the interviewers expect. Had I gone into my Professional Review without this support, I doubt I would have achieved the successful outcome I ultimately did. This programme truly equipped me with the skills and insight needed to navigate the process effectively.

Before the mentorship, I often felt unsure about the either i met the requirements to register as a Professional Technologist—especially since i have most experience in the local government/municipality engineering space. 2. I was struggling to breakdown the report and to take advantage on my area of strength since i have most experience and B-tech are in transportation engineering. 3. The support, encouragement, and honest feedback/ positive critics helped me grow in ways I didn’t expect. 4.I have stepped up in my role to be able to sign off engineering work, encouraged the team i am leading, I have earned myself recognition and stand a good chance to get more opportunities. 5.Definitely , I have already recruited colleagues and friends.
